Presentations have many goals:
-Inform
-Educate
-Persuade

Audiences Learn in 3 different ways:
-Seeing
-Hearing
-Doing (or concrete examples)

PowerPoint is a great way to present, it allows you to create a slide show that includes:
-Text
-Photos and Graphics
-Charts and Graphs
-Audio, Video and other sounds

Rules for a good Presentation:
-Keep slides simple and easy to read
-State your Purpose
-Add images that support you points
-Relax and use a friendly speaking style
-Don't just read the slides to your audience

Use the right colors to make slides easy to read:
-use light-colored backgrounds with dark text
-Use dark backgrounds with bright text

Use a Large font size to make slides easy to read:
-Limit the amount of text you have on each slide
-Make text clean and big

Peripherals make using a computer easier:
-Keyboards
-Mice
-Game controller

Organize your Presentation Effectively: 
-State your purpose: make it clear what you want people to know
-Present information in multiple ways
-End with a summary

Add Supporting Images:
-Keep people interested
-Reinforce Key messages
-Help visual learners Understand

Avoid cluttering your slides with images:
-Avoid slide Clutter
-Don't use too many colors

Relax and be Friendly:
-Avoid:
 -Reading you slides word for word
 -Talking too Fast
-Be sure to:
 -Add info & examples in your own words
 -Allow time for note-taking
 -Answer audience questions
 -Practice

A/ Far Easier Socially than middle school

Q/ What hasbeen difficult about the transition from middle school?

A/ that we aren't led through everything like being reminded of grades. Starting to study and doing my homework is also a hard transition
